#medalmonday brought to you by #hellofahalfmarathon !!!
This race does not disappoint. Tons of race swag! We received a truckers hat, folding chair, wine glass and a nice pancake breakfast with chocolate milk. This is a nice race in a nice community with a really nice running family. I am sure we'll be back again next year!
The highlight of my weekend...I conquered the "Hell of a Half Marathon!" To date, this was by far, the most difficult event I have participated in. The course was tough, and that combined with the heat of the Central Valley, made it that much tougher! While still attempting to fully recover from a stress fracture to my left femur, and a partial tear to my anterior labrum on that same side that occurred back in January, it's been more of a challenge for me to train as I have in the past, both mentally and physically. So while I'm not in the "running" shape that I have been in the last couple of years, to be able to pull this one off meant a lot to me! To my good friends, Phillip Myers and Amy Terrible, thank you for coming to the event to support me and greet me at the finish line! Can't wait for the two of you to rejoin me out there running again! Love you guys! 💃🏻🔥🌈 @myersnterrible#hellofahalfmarathon#unstoppablehomo#homopower#thisonekickedmyass
🐃Ranch Wife: Because this is totally normal, well this is totally my new normal :) my mom came over to my house & we set up shop in our pink chairs, pink shirts & pink posters. We were cheering on our family friend @tammarked (aka badass breast cancer survivor) whom was running in the annual #HellofAHalfMarathon! Only to be joined with the rest of my family... & my father-in-law came in true style. Cowboy style. His only style - what other style does anyone need though? (Say style one more time....style.) I digress. Anyway, loving my new normal 🐴💕🏃🏼♀️
