My last wedding of 2017 started out cold, rainy and dreary. Your typical fall day in the midwest. Then not even 30 minutes before this gorgeous bride walked down the aisle, the clouds parted and this stunning sunset watched over as these two said the most beautiful I-DO's.
I welcome you Mr. & Mrs. Jarrett.

Heading out for an engagement session in the burbs today and feeling so, so grateful to get the opportunity to spend time with one of my 2018 couples. ❤️
I love when people ask me how I know Danielle. A little over a year ago, I was standing in front of the bootie section in Old Navy wishing they sold shoes in my size as the Fall season began. 🍁 The girl next to me in the store made a comment about how she was so glad it was the time of year where we could start to wear boots again and we struck up a conversation. I didn’t have a lot of friends at that point and probably not so subtly in a ‘please can we be friends?’ sort of way proceeded to give her my business card before we went our separate ways. Little did we know that our ‘separate ways’ were actually the same way... because we immediately ran into each other again in the grocery store down the parking lot. I left the whole situation feeling sort of like “I came, I saw, I made it awkward,” but at the same time thinking about how cool she was and hoping she’d want to be friends. 🙏 We ended up grabbing coffee a few weeks later, and then dinner, and then she made the transition from “Old Navy girl” to “my friend Danielle” when I would tell people who I was hanging out with. Today I’m so thankful to have someone like her in my tribe that I click so well with and who I can rely on to surprise me with her genuine heart and fun-loving spirit every time!
