DESIGN TRENDS (SCROLL THROUGH!) - As this year is coming to an end, the design trends of this year will continue on into 2018. The homes I’ve recently toured have featured having one or many of the characteristics listed in this article recently written in Business Insider. -
The historic homes of the near North Side, as well as parts of the Southeast and Near East Side of Indianapolis, have had their fair share of revitalization with both bolder colors on the inside, more concrete and modern interpretations of their kitchens but some trying to preserve the large tubs of the past in their bathrooms. -
When viewing a potential home for renovation, I always look at who the demographic is who will occupy the home. -
For the most part, it isn’t large families that buy this historic property but either singles, newly married couples or retirees that want the modern amenities and the location closer to Downtown. Forget the tiny living spaces, break down those walls and give me room to breathe! Tell me what you think…
What do you like about any of these design trends and why?
What a year it's been! I'm glad to be part of a community that cares so much about the natural beauty of Indiana and the Midwest. I appreciate all the support and look forward to capturing more memories to share with you all ❤️ 🌿🌳
Have you had a chance to listen to Douglas Karr's new podcast Off the Circle? OTC features Indy-based entrepreneurs and business-people, their experience and expertise.

Mark your calendars! We’ll be at @handmadepromenade on Saturday from 11-3:30. Stop by to build your own wreath or pick up some fresh flowers. And while you’re there you can finish up your holiday shopping!
Today was maybe a bit more than I could handle, but I have a coffee date with @purely_nicole , so it's about to get better.

We are feeling the love! 😍 Thank you to everyone who came out to the Indy VegFest Holiday Market on Sunday. We estimate attendance at around 500 people! Thank you to all of the vendors who participated, and to the @neidhammer staff for being great hosts. We would like to especially thank all of our volunteers. We have some incredibly dedicated people who worked behind the scenes and in the forefront before and during the Holiday Market to ensure its success. Some worked six hours straight on Sunday without much of a break. We are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of our volunteers and supporters. Without them, events like this would not be possible. 💗 Thank you -- Amy Adrian, Nikki Arehart, Rachel Atkinson, Sara Buckallew, Adrienne Cooper, Marlene Dorfman, Alexa Foy, Andrew Gancsos, Pratik Jain, Rita Jenkins, Jocelyn Jester, Becky Kormos, Olivia McFadden, Megan McNames, Jim Richardson, Dave Rowe, Bethany Schultz, Danielle Skrocki, Derek Watson, Kelly Weger, John Wekluk, and Vickie Yaser.
