Today I learned that you can catch squid with a fishing pole. I asked some dock fisherman in West Seattle what kind of fish they were catching and they showed me their bucket. I touched one- they have a stiff body!
Seen on a walk: a "story pole" (vs totem pole). This one tells the story of people arriving in Seattle and the native Americans that greeted them. Zoom in to read the story! My favorite part: the part where they actually carved out the bow of the ship!
Although I LOVE good food, I'm more of a baker than a cook. So I got on Blue Apron a while back to help me learn to cook. But the dishes were kind of dull and the portions were small- meaning I had to eat 1.5 meals to feel full, wasting the other .5. I recently switched to Sun Basket and both those problems are gone. This is salmon-kale salad with carrots peppers, avocado and Moroccan spiced almonds. I ate every bite and made yummy noises the whole time.
OMG SHUS! Well, slippers. These are the most amazing wool slippers by a company called GLERUPS (from Denmark). They are felted wool on the outside AND inner, and suede leather on the bottom. The perfect house slipper! Not too warm. This is a shoe version but they also have slippers and boot heights. UPDATE: OMG I LOVE THEM SO MUCH
