After being diagnosed with pregnancy anemia, and iron levels that were plummeting despite eating extortionate amounts of red meat and taking nausea inducing iron pills, I found myself at the hospital getting an iron infusion. 💉
I was so freaked out after a doctor told me that there’s a significant risk of reactions - including anaphylaxis. But the alternative - having no energy, being more at risk for preterm labour and potentially needing a blood transfusion after labour if I lost a lot of blood sounded much less appealing. So relieved it’s over. Home and ok despite feeling tired & achey. So grateful to my wonderful in laws for coming to town to help with Theia. Looking forward to having more energy once the effects kick in 🙏🏼
This pregnancy has been a bit of a challenge compared to my first and I will be so grateful at the end to hold a healthy baby in my arms!
Crazy hair and kale cracker crumbs everywhere. But look at that happy little grin 😀 #theiavalentine
Waiting for the kiddie concert 🎶 Someone was a huge fan and spent the whole time dancing and bouncing around. It is amazing how shy she used to be up until about age one. She’s so friendly and outgoing now - it constantly amazes me. When we were getting off the plane the other day she said bye to every single person we passed. 😂 #theiavalentine
30 weeks 💖 Crazy to think that when I was pregnant with Theia at 30 weeks I was only 5 weeks away from going into labour 😬 According to my doctor there is a significant chance that could happen again, so I’m starting to get quite nervous as I still feel SO unprepared. We have yet to decide on a name, buy car seat, get the nursery ready - and so on and so forth...but all I really want to do in the little spare time being the mother of a toddler allows is rest. 😳😬🙏🏼
Best nine featuring some of our travels... we went to Paris, Pelopennese, Tuscany, Hawaii, Abu Dhabi, LA, Ischia, Zurich, Lake Como, Rome, Florence. Am I missing anywhere ?? #2017bestnine
Happy New Years !!! 2017 has been full of change and surprise. We traveled for six months and embarked on an international move with a toddler - starting over in a new country (again). I found out I was pregnant in the midst of all this (in the bathroom of a restaurant in Modena, Italy), and had terrible morning sickness for the first five months. Travelling with morning sickness with a toddler? Don’t recommend it. But we had the most amazing six months just being together. I’m so grateful for having Glen all to ourselves for that time. Watching his relationship with Theia blossom to a whole new level after being given that gift of time was such a blessing. Their bond is now so unbreakable - pure unconditional love with so much care and laughter. Now here we are, settling into New Zealand with our daughter and another one on the way. So grateful for these two and can’t wait to welcome our new little girl into the world in just a couple of short months.
We had a great New Years Eve degustation meal with the bear and she was an absolute angel! Got her in bed by about 9pm - little party animal 💗💗 #theiavalentine
