*Comes back from her first time in Japan a totally changed person* Thank you to Natsumi for the makeover! Would definitely recommend @hair_salon_nalu for their English friendly service and hospitality~ #T2andTofugoNippon
The only thing we checked out in Kyoto proper were the famous Fushimi Inari torii gates and suffice to say, it exceeded our expectations. The rain and fog deterred the crowd away but made for an amazing atmosphere. Exploring off the beaten track is a must too ╰(*´︶`*)╯#T2andTofugoNippon
Travelled from Yamashina (next to Kyoto) to Fukuoka for the Grand Sumo Tournament yesterday and met a super lovely obaachan on the shinkansen there.
I was nervous at first to talk with her but after an attempt to nap (journey was 4 hours), she pulled out her bento and I initiated with "kore wa nan desu ka?". Even though there was a language barrier (it was a struggle street), we still understood each other's meaning. We talked about family, ourselves, travelling, food, Japan.
It was truly a heart warming experience that when it came to my stop, I didn't want to leave. Coincidently, @t2norway who was a separate car had the same experience with an ojiisan. (=￣ω￣=) #T2andTofugoNippon
