Tonight, @clelly143 and I went to see @imaginedragons here in Houston. To say it was a good concert, is an understatement. I am so grateful to have this wonderful woman to experience life with me!
This first photo is a result of something that happened 5 years ago today.
5 years ago I had several of @clelly143 s friends come to Rexburg, ID to surprise her for her because I was going to propose. I planned to propose at one of our favorite places in Idaho Falls, a sweet antique market by the train tracks. Johnna thought I had work, but instead @grantstoker and Joseph Jensen went early and set up where I was going to propose.
After waiting what felt like eternity, Johnna and several of her mission friends finally got to the antique shop. Once they were there we had to hide for another 30 minutes while Johnna slowly touched everything in the place and made her way to the setup location.
In a booth, I had set up a vintage jewelry box and an envelope that said Johnna. I should have taken a picture, but I didn’t.
When Johnna got to the jewelry box, she was kind of surprised that someone had the same name as her. She didn’t want to open the envelope because she didn’t think it was hers. Finally, her friend Andrea opened it for her to find a letter I wrote (I knew I would fumble my words otherwise). As she was reading I snuck up behind her and said her name. As I was shaking, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. She said “Yes!” And the rest is history.
Needless to say, I am so happy that I married my wonderful wife. I would not take it back for a second and I love the adventures that we have. And the many more to come!
