I left my eyes and ears in San Francisco. #latepost
One of life’s great satisfaction can be drawn from moving from point a to point b. The journey, so they say, is the reward. Not the destination. But the question is what kind of journey? For me, it’s a drive, on some of the world’s best roads. A bonus if the automobile comes with at least six cylinders and convertible top, so that you can hear the engine roars when you go through 👆. 🚗 🛣 🌊 #grandtour#petrolhead#roadtrip
Apple Park Visitor Center, Cupertino, CA.
There are beautifully designed places but poorly built, and there are exceptional ones where points and lines form a perfect harmony that makes a functional, truly beautiful building, built to last. More photos next post. #mothershiphaslanded
I can’t remember the last time I went to the beach in winter. It’s great to not feel hot. #shotoniphone
The Travel Dilemma: How do we filter out the signal from the noise? How do we, as travelers, discover the authentic from the flashy tourist facade?
This tiny piece of neighborhood in New Orleans is pretty. But polished enough to be less beautiful than it can be. Mostly inhabited by businesses, it becomes a money engine for the population. Reminds me of Seminyak in Bali, somehow, but still pretty nonetheless.
In 1762–1803, this street bore the name Calle Real under the Spanish Colonial Government.
A touch of old Paris with a Creoel sensibility. #neworleans
