Glacial Ice, 1000 years old, washes up in the shores of Jökulsárlón lagoon.
Cruising through Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon, in southeastern Iceland. The blue water is filled with icebergs from the Vatnajökull Glacier. The glacier is currently in retreat over 50 meters per year. What the glacier leaves behind is the lagoon which is the deepest lake in all of Iceland--over 800 feet deep!
