Daaamn... This quad is so fast. And that on 4s only.Well... these #xhovermotors are not the fastest one, but they are very efficient. I like their low end helping me to save from dives. I still have to test them with other props to see which one gives me much faster acceleration also being friendly to the batteries. It's kinda weird to look at everything under the props :). But it also gives a better feeling of the quad in the air. The room inside the #featherlight 5 Race Frame is so small. It can be compared to building a 2" quad. So be careful with what components you go. The last #hglrc F440 stack with VTX should fit here. The RX can be glued behind the camera as there is no more room for anything inside the stack.
The weight... with these motors I got 250g, with old #cobra2204 or #hyperlite2204 it will be about 205g. Hard to keep a so light quad at a certain altitude as it constantly tends to go up to the moon. :)
Well... my best freestyle #impulsercalien quads I ever had and I hardly believe that I will ever replace them with something else. One is mostly basher and another one more for cruising. I really liked these #brotherhobbyreturner3 2207/2550 motors on the basher quad. They have lot of torque and give me instant acceleration. But on the same time more aggressive freestyle means less battery life. Over the past few months I was flying with one of the Aliens and Helix with 23xx motors and I found them to be perfect for my style. I was lucky enough to get these #xhovermotors 2307/2500 with a good deal and will replace the BH 2207 motors. People confuse that bigger motors means less battery life. That depends on how do you push. If you know how to use momentum and curves, you will be surprised about fly time. #fpvlife#dalprop#dronelifestyle#miniquads#fpvaddict#kissesc#kissflightcontroller#hypetrainmotors
Today, morning, I did a little test of #tattulipos 4s 650mah 75c VS. #pirofliprc 4s 800mah 95c
Well... first of all with 800mah it feels heavier and I didn't feel those 95c too much.
Does it go faster than 650mah because of 95c? Nope.
Does it give better inertia because of weight? I would say about 15% better compared to 650mah. Hanging in the air (aka no gravity) is much better than 650.
Impressions: if you are going to use your 3" for racing then I would say 650mah is the best choice. If you are racing keeping throttle 80% all the time then go with 800mah. If freestyle then 800mah will give you 1min more for total fly time.
One note: In cold 800mah keeps voltage better than 650mah which makes it perfect choice for winter season.
Working on some theories. Migrating stuff from #xhoverr5x trueX (86g)to Rotorius trueX (65g) with narrow arms. I want to see if I can drop #quadbuild from 330g to something below 280g with almost the same components. Also compare in the air versus #xhoverr5x versus #hyperlitefloss . How it feels a lite trueX versus lite stretched X?
What I didn't post in awhile? Right... comparison. Sometimes it helps people to make a decision that just watching specs. Weight comparison between #rcxmotors 2205/2633kv v1 vs. #emaxmotors 2205/2300kv v1. Performance wise? Emax has not bad low end at that kv but top end sucks in front of RCX kv. Be careful with RCX. Amp draw is kinda painful for your lipo. #fpvaddiction#fpvbuild#quadbuild
So tired... few days in a row working till 2am for a customer. I have to do something to myself to place the order for this one on November 17th at 12AM. I want to understand author's idea behind that base plate. #fpvflightclub
It was a really nice pleasure to meet @wildwilly_fpv in person. One is to watch one of the favourite pilots on YouTube in vlogs and completely different is to have that chance to shake his hand in person. I wish to have more days like this to fly with him and other Atlanta's crew. #fpvfreestyle
